‘“We deserve to feel strong and supported at every stage of life — that’s what this space is all about.”
Meet Erin Smith — Founder of State of Flow

Health and movement have always been part of my life. I’ve loved Pilates and Barre for as long as I can remember — the strength, the focus, and the calm they bring. In the lead-up to my wedding, I threw myself into classes and felt incredible — strong, confident, and connected to my body in a way I hadn’t before.
After my first daughter was born, I shifted gears and ran my own event styling business for several years. It was creative, fast-paced, and rewarding — but I couldn’t shake my love for Pilates. Eventually, I realised it was time to follow that passion and build something that truly aligned with who I am.
Over the years, I’ve trained and taught across a range of studios and gyms, developing a teaching style that blends mindful movement with strength and flow. I discovered my love for both mat-based Pilates and the energy of the hot room — and knew I wanted to create a studio that felt different. A place that was warm, welcoming, and completely inclusive.
I’m also a qualified hormonal health coach, and I’m especially passionate about supporting women through perimenopause and menopause. Movement has such a powerful impact on our energy, mood, and mindset — it’s one of the best tools we have for navigating life’s changes and feeling strong at every stage.
When I’m not in the studio, I’m with my family. We’re a close bunch who love the outdoors, time by the water, and making memories together. In summer, you’ll find us at our holiday home in Bonnie Doon, spending long days on the lake with friends and family.
State of Flow is a reflection of everything I value — family, community, and the simple joy of moving your body in a way that feels good. My hope is that when you walk through our doors, you feel instantly at home. I can’t wait to welcome you to your new favourite space.
